Circle Project

A person is looking at a bunch of circles. The person in the work is modeled after myself, and the circles are inspired by the album cover of Innuendo by Queen, which has someone juggling balls of different colors and sizes.

i used pencil to sketch. then, using a fine tip sharpie, i lined the person. i then colored in the circles with watercolor.

i started out with a sketch, then did the line art and coloring. The work has a lot of shape and color in the circles, and line in the person. The project originally had just one size of circles, and they didn't overlap. I drew a smaller set of circles with the intent to erase the bigger ones, but i liked how it looked so i kept it. i then decided to color with primary colors and have the overlap be secondary. my next steps would be to add a background and make the circles neater.
