Position/Title: Teacher

Name of School: The Children’s Workshop School (CWS)

DBN: 01M361 Supertintendent: Daniella Phillips

Personal Statement: I received my undergraduate degree in education from New York University and my graduate degree from Bank Street School of Education. I also received a degree in administration from Hunter College. As a small school, staff at CWS take on many of the administrative responsibilities. I have held many. Along with these in-house opportunities I also had the pleasure of co-teaching a course at New York University with Dr. Suzanne Carothers. This course was taught in my classroom so that the students could gain the firsthand experience of bringing theory into practice.

Teaching in a progressive school for many years has allowed me opportunities to practice what I believe how children learn best. Providing an environment which fosters experiential learning is at the forefront of my teaching and learning experiences.
