Personal Statement: I am a Chilean born Spanish teacher, certified in my home country as well as in Michigan and New York. In 2010, I decided to make a shift and move to the NYC public school system, which has been one of the best and most rewarding decisions in my life. I have two degrees from Chilean institutions accredited in this country: a BA with a major in Spanish Language and Literature from Universidad de Chile and a BA in Secondary Education from Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación. I have also received two post-titles in theater management. Additionally, I have a MA in Spanish, from Wayne State University, Detroit and a MA in Education, from Baruch College. Currently, I am in the process of receiving certification as a district leader.
In my spare time, I love to direct theater. Other interests include reading, especially Spanish novels, and engaging in new experiences that help me learn and grow. I also very much enjoy dancing and travelling with my husband. For summer 2017, we will visit our ancestral homelands, Lithuania and Poland.
