Personal Statement: P.S. 347 “47” The American Sign Language & English Lower School is based on the philosophy that deaf and hearing children learn best when they are taught together. This is my 1st year teaching at this school and I have learned a tremendous amount about deaf culture. When I am not teaching I enjoy exercising, reading a book, and playing with my new kitten Gelato. My goal is to become fluent in sign language and to help educate others about deafness.
