Personal Statement: I am a high school ENL teacher at Manhattan Academy for Arts and Language. At MAAL, I have taught AP English Language and Composition, Spanish, ENL, and ELA to grades 9-12. This is my fourth year teaching. As a former New York City Teaching Fellow, I am dedicated to ensuring that students meet high academic expectations and make significant academic gains. I will be starting my doctoral studies in the department of Curriculum and Teaching at Teachers College in the fall.
