Personal Statement: I am a special education teacher and special education liaison at the Bilingual Bicultural Mini School, P.S 182. During the 2016-2017 school year, I taught in a fifth grade bilingual integrated co-teaching setting. I am very fortunate to have worked in East Harlem as an educator for five years. Prior to beginning my work in ‘El Barrio’, I received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and a Masters of Science degree in Urban and Multicultural Education from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, N.Y. I also attended Hunter College where I received a New York State bilingual extension certification.
