This mockumentary is about a familiar face asking me what drives me as an artist, though his delivery could be more delicate. At first glance, it just seems like a silly interview, but in reality, it’s an insight into an artist’s mindset and how their biggest critic will treat them no matter what. Two sides of the same coin held an interview.

With our current political climate, something as simple as a tweet could send us into war, so I compiled various clips, soundbites, and old training videos and combined them to create a video that embodies the ever-looming threat of nuclear war. The video starts off as a simple guide on how one should act and react to a nuclear explosion, though it’s revealed that the video isn’t meant for you.

No matter where or when they started, every artist takes on a treacherous and endless journey in the pursuit of honing their craft. Not everyone follows the same path, but they face the same obstacles and sense of accomplishment. I presented my artistic journey in the form of a carnival-esque slide reel. Various artworks that I’ve created over the years are plastered on the wooden walls, showing the highs and lows of my artistic journey.
