ARTIST STATEMENT
Jasmine Mirzamani is a multidisciplinary artist who combines traditional oil painting with digital media to create dynamic and immersive works of art. Her process involves scanning her oil painted objects using photogrammetry, bringing them into Blender to create 3D worlds that are both tangible and surreal. She also creates surreal digital drawings on Procreate that explore themes of identity, memory, and perception.
One of the unique aspects of Jasmine Mirzamani's practice is her use of found objects as canvases for her oil paintings. Items like headache medicine bottles and shoe boxes are given new life as the basis for her art, reflecting her interest in exploring themes of sustainability and resourcefulness.
