ARTIST STATEMENT
Brian combines his media skills with his illustration, animation, and 3D modeling skills to create a dystopian atmosphere created by the world we live in today digitally. He uses his work in social media to create avatars that teach about the dangers of merging personal life into online personas. He does this both online using episodes and in through his new media based exhibits. Much of his work is conspiracy-based, requiring the viewer to open up their mind to different perspectives of the world and the society that we live in.
LIFE OF BARRON:
CULT TV ATC GALLERY
Brian Anderson, Life of Barron: Cult TV ATC Gallery, AI Art, 1920 x1080 px, 2022
This recording captures my Advancement to Graduate Candidacy Gallery: Life of Barron Cult TV. By preparing a 6ft x 10ft x 8ft sculpture of my research monster JJ Maurice Burns, I was able to house the chaotic atmosphere produced by the Internet and Social media inside his body: utilizing the same symbolic objects/props as a physical structure to communicate the cultic points being shared in the cartoon.
Made with: Birch wood planks, AI Art Index based on 6 years of research, 2 televisions, 12 "Pin-Heads", 4 tarps, spray paint, popcorn ceiling texture, 2 leatherbound catastrophe notebooks, brown packing paper, and a purple gloved hand.
