Andre Zambrana

BIOGRAPHY

Andre was born in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, to a musician father who always pushed him to pursue his passion in any way he could. He found comfort in drawing, video games, and entertainment media throughout his early life. As his life progressed, his comfort became his passion, opening up his life to many possibilities. At age 19, he immigrated to the US to pursue a creative career, where he discovered a community of like-minded people who opened his eyes to the world of art.

He started animating at 11 on the Nintendo DSI's Flipnote Studio but only took it seriously in his late teens when it became his main artistic passion. As an artist, he has worked as a Video Editor, Animator, and Illustrator. He strives to learn more coding and game development to break into the game creation world as his career.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My name is Andre Zambrana. I’m a digital animator, illustrator, and game designer currently studying in SJSU's Digital Media program. I specialize in making dynamic and atmospheric pieces inspired by the stories and themes I have experienced.

I aim to bring the fantastical worlds and stories I have imagined throughout my life into the real world using art and video games. Combining art mediums such as traditional art, film, games, and many more elements works hand in hand to create the perfect experience.

I am a traditional 2D animator, but I’m also proficient in various other mediums, such as game designing, film production, and 3D modeling.
