Dianna Amezcua

BIOGRAPHY

Dianna Amezcua is a graphic design major who has received her education at San Jose State University. She is also a first generation Latina student who was born and raised in the central coast of California. Art and being creative in general has always been rooted in who she is as a person. Her work consists of digitally illustrated graphics as well as photoshop creations. Amezcua views nature as the greatest inspiration that is brought into her works as the vibrance and beauty of nature is timeless as well as organic and those are qualities she strives for her work to contain.

ARTIST STATEMENT

Amezcua always find themselves incorporating nature-like aspects into their art. For as long as she can remember, their default object to draw is flowers. She finds nature, much like the artistic process. It can be filled with an array of colors, shapes, sizes, forms, and textures. As many diverse factors can be found in nature, Amezcua is drawn to it for inspiration for their artistic creations. She enjoys including nature-related aspects in their work because of the fact that everyone, in one way or another, can find connectivity to nature, and that connection is especially important in this day and age as modernity and fast-paced lives have often drawn people away from nature.
