BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in California, Angelique Fernandez finds inspiration in the ointerplay between digital and physical mediums. She has lived in California her whole life, and is starting to travel more; she has gone to Hawaii, Bahamas, and te philipinnes so far. She attended Chabot Community College anf terceived and A.A in Graphic Design and transferred to San Jose State University as a Digital Media Student. Her journey as an artist began with a passion for visual storytelling which she nurtured through a combination of photography, digital editing, and drawing. Her main inspiration are cartoon character and having their own twist to call her own. In her pursuit of artistic excellence, Angelique has ventured in the real of digital media, leveraging the power of technology to amplift her creative expression. From crafting custom emojis and Twitch overlays to captivating visual narratives, and her onkline shop on Kofi. With each creation, Angelique invites her viewers to embark in a journey of imaginitaion, where the boundaries between reality and fantasy blur to what she calls her own. As Angelique continues to evolve as an artist and an adventurer, she remains steadfast in her pursuit of artistic excellence and hopes to become a successful artist and to have more work up online.

Artist Statement

My artistic journey serves as an escape from reality. i firt started drawing at the age of five, i realized my love and passion for creating art. Back then i would get in trouble for having small doodles on my homework, and now they are part of my creative process, guiding me towards my next artistic endeavor. My vision when creating art is both about focus and distraction at the same time. By focusing on my art, i continue to create art, and having distractions hrlps me realize wha art i just have made. Ill just keep going and not know what im doing sometimes but that is what i call my own process. I expect my audience to know not only the outcome of my art but the emotions as well that are in there. I started with drawing and now gained experience of editing videos, creative video overlays for media streamers, editing photos, and creating digital art. Art is important to me because it holds the power to transcend boundaries, shows different ways to portray and communicates the ineffable.
