In Triman, several different ways of organising a household are common. In the rural areas, most live in villages surrounded by a wooden palisade to keep out wild animals, and keep the domestic animals inside. Most cities have stone walls and a keep where the noble ruling the city lives. What is on the inside of the palisade or city walls varies from province to province. In Ledoslavl, the village is built around a central keep, where the knight or nobleman holding the village lives and has his guardsmen. There is always a road going through the village, and two gates. The houses all stand on pillars to keep above the winter snow, with the entrances located towards the side getting the least amount of wind, usually the southern side. There is no plan behind how the houses are put up, and there are few distinguishable roads besides the main road going to the keep and the village gates. The cities of Ledoslavl are quite different. In the middle is a central stone keep, with a stone wall around all the lesser buildings of the castle. The city walls are made of stone as well. There is a smaller keep at each entrance protecting the gates, and the roads are laid out in a orderly pattern, almost like a garnison. The houses are built in the same fashion as the village houses, but lined up in an orderly fashion along the roads.
