Inheritance of titles
Nobility is inherited in Triman, however land is not. Only the kniazi have feudal inheritance. The rest of those that hold land hold it in the name of their kniaz, and the territory can be given to someone else if the holder dies, or displeases the kniaz.

One can own a house, but a castle and the land of the castle, or a city, will be subject to this rule in all provinces. That is, if one has a feudal contract with peasants to work ones land, that land is generally a holding of the kniaz that the noble

Provincial variations:
In Gradoslavl, the oldest child is given the same land or castle if the previous noble dies. A guardian is appointed for the child if the child has not reached adulthood. The guardian is a commoner or a sage that thus would not be able to take the position for themselves. The Kniaz Vratslav was brought up by a sage after his father died.

In Ledoslavl, the oldest son is usually given the same land or castle if the previous noble dies. If the son is not of age, the land can in stead go to whoever marries the widow of the noble, or if she remains unmarried, the land can be taken back by the kniaz, who gives it to a new noble to hold. Depending on the status of the widow, her family and the family of the dead noble, this can go very fast or very slow, sometimes so long that the son can come of age and take the land.

Drevnedub has no nobility beyond the kniaz, and there is no land to hold.

In Jereman the people chooses a new leader for the area, who is then confirmed by the kniaz

In Kardomir, the castle of a noble is his property, and is inherited, while the control over land beyond the castle is given to whoever proves competent amongst the nobles, so a mismanaging noble will loose land, and a noble is quite likely not to live near the land she or he holds.

In the territory of the tzar who holds the land changes both when the tsar changes and when the noble dies. If the noble dies, but it is the same tzar, the situation is handled as in the province the tsar is from
