Heraldic symbols

While Triman has little tradition of heraldics, the Frakian influence on the court has led the various Kniazi to take up heraldic symbols for themselves and their province. The knights also have heraldic shields that are inherited down the line, while the bogatyr of Drevnedub have individual symbols that are not inherited. In stead, anyone in Drevnedub are free to have their own emblem as long as it has not been used before The symbol of Gradoslavl is the sun og Svarog above a fortified city. This represents the cities defended by Svarog and the allegiance of Gradoslavl to Svarog

Kardomir: The symbol of Kardomir is a firebird. The firebird symbolises the province reborn as subject of Triman.

The symbol of Drevnedub is a bear sitting with a hare in his left front paw and a sword in his right front paw. There are various interpretations of this symbol. The most common is that the bear is the symbol of the Kniaz, and him holding the hare can represent him being the mythical “Master of the Forrest” that the Kniaz claims to descend from. The sword is a symbol of the defence of the people that the Kniaz is supposed to provide.

The symbol of Ledoslavl is two crossed swords, blades pointing upwards amongst 4 symbols of Svarog. The swords symbolise valour in battle while the suns symbolise the faith in Svarog

Jereman has had a horse standing on it’s hind legs as it’s symbol. The symbol was outlawed as a symbol of defiance by tzar Vsevolod. Different atamans have used different colour schemes, and all their followers use the same colours to be able to divide friend from foe in battle:
