Knowledge

Since Svarog is a god of knowledge, the attainment and distribution of knowledge is important in Triman. The different fractions view knowledge differently, something that will be present in play. - The Church of Svarog believes in sharing knowledge, and is open to teaching most of it's knowledge to anyone wishing to learn. Many outside the church believe they would attain great power if they knew these secrets. - Gradoslavl is a society where knowledge is shared freely. To keep secrets is seen as sinful, and everyone shares openly of what they know with any Trimanian, and not only with fellow Gradolslavlians. Most are still very uncomfortable with this, and will still divulge it if asked directly by anyone that is perceived as friendly. - Drevnedubians believe that knowledge should be shared freely between kin, either in the family group, or with all other Drevnedubians. They will however be willing to make trade of equal value, repaying for knowledge given with knowledge of equal value - Kardomirians treat knowledge as a treasure. It is to be hoarded and gathered even at great peril to oneself. It is perfectly acceptable to create intricate trials for those wishing to gain knowledge, and the attainment of knowledge is seen as a great reward. To attain knowledge, one usually becomes the apprentice and servant of someone with the coveted knowledge. To give knowledge away without effort on the receivers part is seen as weak. The rarer the knowledge, the harder it is to gain it. - Jereman has due to the civil war and Tulgarian raids lost much knowledge. With knowledge being so important, many Jeremanians spend time trying to reconstruct or gather back this knowledge, searching out people from their province or outside of it that can aid them in this. Often they will be willing to give a lot to regain some particular important knowledge or historical piece relevant to Jereman - Ledoslavlians use knowledge to gain favours. Attaining knowledge and giving it to ones superiors is a quick way to promotion. Knowledge can also be used in place of bribes, or given to mark an underlings special status.
