In this campaign, the religion contains some truth, and some superstition. The priests of Svarog, called Sages (Kunskapare) in Triman receive magic through rituals and are able to do miracles in Svarogs name. Angels exist, however they seldom visit our world. There are also spirits of ancestors that can come from the afterlife and interact with the living.
Demons and devils are real and can be encountered (the difference between devil and demon is only of academical interest). They are sent by the Black Serpent and arrive in our world through rituals taking power from the Black Serpent.
While their nature will not be defined exactly, Svarog and the Black Serpent have powers of gods. They can not affect this world directly, and have to use their agents, either angels and demons, or human worshipers to affect anything that happens in the larp. Svarog will represent good, knowledge, equality, honesty and freedom. The Black Serpent represents evil, oppression, violation, deceit and elitism. Anyone wanting to play a worshipper of the Black Serpent will have to discuss with the organisers how to play to avoid both cartoon evil and actions that can be harmful to the other players.
Where humans and the whole creation come from, what happens when one dies, should one worship, who should one worship and so on have religious answers in this game, however you will not know if that is truth or superstition.
Information on the cult of The Black Serpent will be given to players wanting to play cultists.
Since the cult of Svarog is official religion in Triman, you are advised to inform yourself on:
