Hi, everyone! We had a nice meeting last night at Dysart's... despite it being rainy and dark! Erin , Shaleen, and I attended, and had a good meal and a good discussion. Mostly about our stuttering ups and downs. We agreed that attending meetings is good and helps get us on the right track...of reducing some tension and gaining acceptance. Good to have a sounding board and a place to share! We managed to also squeeze in a few discussion questions related to Holiday Stressors, that came from the NSA Resource Packet of meeting packet. I think our bottom line was that 1) we each have different triggers that tend to increase our stuttering, and there seem to be more of them over the holidays, and 2) we discussed giving ourselves "permission" to bow out of the context/conversation and take a break when needed. It's the holiday season... let's be good to ourselves.
