Last night our NSA Meeting was attended by Chris and me!! We missed you all, but had a really good evening of catching up and discussion. Topics ranged between some past weeks of increased stuttering (Chris), the difference between making phone calls when you can assume an anonymous persona versus knowing the person you are calling (me), discussing how your feelings come from your perceptions/thoughts of any given situation and how changing the way you think can be a goal to work towards (me and Chris). Non speech topics included upcoming grand babies yet to be born (Chris and me) and why all my squash and cucumber plants are dying off with mildew!! (me)

ALSO, please stay tuned for emails from Natalie, as I believe we are going to try out Google Hangout sometime this month.   

Finally we both want to encourage you ALL to free up your calendar for September 17 and get registered on the NSA website!! This all day workshop will take the place of our September meeting. I was originally hoping we could get as many as 20 at this event....and hoping for not only us Mainers, but also folks from New England and further! I found out yesterday that thus far, we have 13 registered so far, including one from Georgia and Connecticut!! So, yay!! ...it's gaining momentum! And yes...there is a registration fee. But folks... that is to go towards lunch, brochures, office staff support for this event... and, in general, to support NSA and all the work they do on behalf of all stutterers everywhere!!
