Last night's chapter meeting was held at our regular location and time with our very own, Ravi, keeping the candle burning.  Maine is fairly rural state and there is a lot of space between us, it is often difficult for everyone to make a monthly meeting. Nevertheless, the opportunity is there.

I've often thought that one of an NSA Chapter Leader's most important jobs (whether as a guest or an official leader) is simply to provide an open door of support for those who can make it and who need it. Last night Ravi provided that safe space which is so important regardless of how many are able to use it. The opportunity is just as vital. I certainly appreciate that immensely.

Thank you again, Ravi, for stepping in and stepping up.  And a big thank you to Tom, Erin and Inna as well, who will be hosting these meetings for the next few months.

Since none of us could gather last night (including myself), I hope that everyone is well and receiving the support you need, no matter what form it takes.  This group allows us to obtain encouragement in tough times, provide encouragement in good times, and share in all around stuttering comradery.  The email list is here throughout each month and we should all feel free to reach out individually or to the group if that little extra support or understanding is needed.

As always,

If you stutter, you are not alone.
