Good News Reported by Justin Conlan of Loomis Trail Golf Course:
On Wednesday, April 29th excitement began as the crew started to prepare the golf course to reopen after the temporary closure. As many of you have heard the news to reopen golf courses is happening May 5th to the public. Prior to this date; however, homeowners may see people on the golf course, and this is only Tribal Members he reported. The public opening will happen on May 5th with paying customers.
The Bar and Grill will be open as well. At this time though, only for TAKE OUT FOOD and with limited hours for the month of May. Orders must be called in ahead of time to be ready for pick up.
Also, Justin has shared that during the month of May they are extending a discounted rate of 10 rounds of golf with a punch card for $350.00, plus tax for use at Loomis Trails Homeowners will be allowed to purchase a maximum purchase of 2 per household and the punch card will be valid 7 days a week for the remainder of 2020.
This might be a good time to enjoy golfing before it gets crowded over the summer too.
May Day Flower Planting for Kids/Family Activity Reminder 11am-11:30am East Gate:
It looks like it will be a sunny Friday May 1st May Day. Don’t forget to bring the kids to plant a flowering annual or perennial flower and join in to make the neighborhood beautiful.
A Shout Out of Thanks to Judy Hamner of Elite Management Company:
Many homeowners do not know how much work behind the scenes that the HOA Board of Directors (Volunteers) does weekly with the assistant of Judy Hamner who works diligently in communicating with homeowners and renters to follow HOA rules. Many times, homeowners may not always live in the neighborhood year round, so she does her best to contact neighbors to remind them of CC & R’s and rules that need to be followed year round even if they are out of town.
She is instrumental in ensuring that neighbors understand how important it is to follow through with ongoing landscaping rules of mowing, weeding, raking leaves/pine needles, picking up limbs, trimming trees, bushes, plus, the expectations of the general first impressions of front yards, side yards that are viewed from the street and sidewalks, and understanding property rules that need to be followed through on maintaining the overall neighborhood year around. Responsibilities of living in this neighborhood should be understood by buyers and should be explained by real estate agents as well and many buyers do their homework and question rules too. This is why the expectations are that everyone living here must follow the rules.
In the last week since the quarterly drive through, Judy has been instrumental in constant follow through to ensure neighbors respond and act positively in the best interest of the entire neighborhood. The goal is simple, to make sure everyone does their part in making this neighborhood beautiful. Also, fresh bark can add so much to landscaping and reduce the yearly weeding needs too that so many people find that they don’t have the energy or time to maintain when weeds appear.
If a homeowner is in need of assistance for referrals to get their lawns mowed, weeded, trees trimmed, and more Judy has referrals and contacts she can provide. Another option is to ask neighbors who they use for services, and/or contact a landscaper that does yard work in the neighborhood already.
For those in the real estate business or those planning to sell their homes in the near future, the first impression when potential buyers are driving through the neighborhood and see consistent maintenance by all homeowners, is a huge incentive in wanting to live in this neighborhood. Landscaping is an investment in real estate properties to get the maximum sale prices too. Judy has worked hard the past two weeks to make neighbors/renters, and buyers understand this.
The next quarterly drive through will happen during the last week of June.
