Dear Homeowners:
Earlier this year we awarded a competitive bid to Kamps Painting of Lynden to perform crack filling repairs to our asphalt roads in accordance with our long term Reserve Study preventative road maintenance. The next phase of our road maintenance involves mechanically brushing and applying two coats of asphalt road sealing compound. This work is scheduled to take place from Tuesday, July 31st through Saturday, August 4th of this year.
Kamps Painting will need a full day to clean and seal the roads and allow overnight cure time. Sections of our roads will be closed for a 24 hour period per the schedule below and per the attached reference colored sectional road maps.
24hr Road Sealing Work Schedule (refer to attached colored maps at bottom of this post)
Tuesday, July 31
- Purple Section in Division 1
- Purple Section in Division 2
Wednesday, Aug 1
- Yellow Section in Division 1
- Yellow Section in Division 2
Thursday, Aug 2
- Green Section in Division 1
Friday, Aug 3
- Blue Section in Division 1
Saturday, Aug 4
- Red Section in Division 1
The roads have been divided into approximately 1 block colored sections so when your section of roadway is being sealed you can still park your vehicle nearby within easy walking distance. Each colored section of road will be closed to vehicle access for 24 hours from 7:00am in the morning and will remain closed until 7:00am the next morning. When road sealing is scheduled in front of your home, we ask homeowners to please park in nearby visitor pull-out spaces, or round-a-bouts, or along the side of the road - outside of the closed colored section. Please do not park on the boulevard grass and be sure to park on only ONE side of the road so as not to block access for emergency vehicles.
If you need to drive on the day that road sealing is scheduled in front of your house, please plan on leaving before 7:00am or park you vehicle outside of the designated section the night before.
If you have any questions about the planned road sealing work and road closures, please call our HOA Manager, Judy Hamner at 360-685-4209.
Thank you,
Board of Directors
