Dear Homeowners,
Some friendly reminders and announcements:
1) A home owner on Siena Court reported Saturday night their "unlocked" vehicle and a couple of neighbor's unlocked vehicles were rummaged through. Luckily nothing was stolen. However, we obviously have would be prowlers looking for unlocked vehicles in the middle of night - so be sure and lock you cars and your home doors. Call the Sherriff's Office at 778-6600 if you observe any suspicious activity late at night. The home owner on Siena court has already filed a police report with the Sheriff's Office.
2) You may be wondering about the entry gates being occasionally open, this is being done for scheduled Realtor Open Houses within the neighborhood and usually last only a few hours.
3) The Fourth of July is a great time for social gatherings with family and friends. As a reminder, lighting of personal fireworks are Not allowed in the neighborhood. There are several local Blaine and Bellingham Fireworks celebrations to enjoy. Violation Notices with fines will be issued to anyone who violates the neighborhood Rules and Regulations. Homeowners that are renting homes need to make sure that their tenants are informed of this and all rules and regulations, as Violation Notices are mailed to the property owner.
4) The HOA applauds the many homeowners that have been sprucing up their yards and landscaping to beautify the neighborhood. Please continue doing this as it contributes to everyone's home values. When someone purchases a home in the neighborhood it comes with the responsibility of either personally maintaining the landscaping or hiring someone for the upkeep.
5) For those neighbors wondering about some of the vacant lots with grass that hasn't been maintained appropriately, be assured the board is sending out Violation Notices with Fines and working diligently with these lot owners to comply with the rules.
6) If anyone has a complaint regarding a violation of the CC&Rs that cannot be resolved by talking to your neighbor or for those individuals who do not wish to engage in conversation, homeowners should complete the Complaint Form on the HOA website and follow the instructions for submitting. Remember, the Board is here to enforce the Bylaws and CC&Rs of the Association, not oversee minor disagreements between neighbors.
7) The next regular HOA Board Meeting is Friday, July 28th at 7:00-8:30 pm at Birch Bay Square, Peace Arch Business Center, Windermere Office Upstairs. The next fall Board Meeting is scheduled for Friday, November 17th at 7:00-8:30 pm at the same location.
Have a Great Summer.
