At 1000 hours this morning we received several panicked calls about water breaks in the neighborhood. One was a neighbor’s irrigation line that could not be isolated by closing the Main Valve, so the pumps had to be turned off. The other was a leak in the air line on an adjacent farmer’s property that does not affect our irrigation water, but was flooding Fremont Street.
We will update this post when the repair has been made and the pumps can be turned back on. This is a good reminder to test your sprinklers to make sure your Main Valve is functional, that your valves and heads are working properly, and your filters are clean. Though the homeowner’s association is not responsible for private sprinkler systems past your Main Valve, we do want you to have a successful irrigation season and can suggest the name of an irrigation company if you need assistance.
Update: water will be back on at 1800 hours.
