Attached is a copy of the watering schedule with the count of residences per watering time slot. This schedule was created to balance the amount of residences watering at any one time to keep the flow of water going out of the irrigation holding tank to about equal the amount of water coming in. Previous watering schedules had upwards of thirty residences watering during a time slot, but by slightly decreasing the watering times two years ago we were able to create more time slots and reduce the numbers to no more than twenty residences per time frame to better serve the community.
The current schedule allows residents to chose between an am OR pm slot. Our hopes were that about half would chose am and the other half pm to decrease the amount of residences watering at any one time (to about ten). This is working well for the most part and we have not had to assign specific residences to the morning or evening time slot, but with looming water restrictions on the horizon this may become a reality.
For now we would ask that if you are experiencing water shortages to change your watering time: for example if you normally water during the pm and find the water does not last for the duration of your allotted time, switch to am to see if you have better results.
We have had several complaints on the Monday, Thursday, Saturday evening time slots. The Board would ask that some residents voluntarily change their timers to water during the morning slots when there are fewer residences watering.
With 183 residences and several large tracts of open spaces to water, we appreciate your flexibility and willingness to be a team player to keep our community looking nice. If you observe a neighbor watering during non-scheduled times or during more than one time slot per day, please feel free to contact your Board so we can reach out to that neighbor to educate them about the watering schedule and it's purpose.
Thank you
