The pumps were slow to get up to pressure tonight, and as we were trying to diagnose the issue, we saw that the water coming into our holding tank was about half what it has been most of the season. A quick drive up 19 Road from J 6/10 Road was all it took to figure out where most of the water is going (to flood the recently cut fields).
We will focus on what we can control: we will have a professional come look at the pumps as soon as possible. As for the water: we will wait for the farmers to flood their fields and send more water our way.
There may be water shortages. Please be patient, our volunteers have NO control over what the landowners up the irrigation lateral from us take before our water shares get to us.
Update 7/13/2020: the pumps are right as rain (there was a large air pocket from the break last weekend that had to be burped from the system) and the water coming to our tank is much improved. Keep your fingers crossed for some evening showers - every drop counts!
