Good morning, this morning we received a call that there may be stinging insects in the area of the playground equipment at the Sargent Circle Park. We will have someone out there soon to check the area and remove any nuisance insects. Until then please don’t take your kiddos to the playground to play. We will update the website as soon as we have confirmed the area is free of stinging insects.
Update 1100 hours 7/15: The stinging insects have been located and removed. As you are recreating in the neighborhood, please do be aware of the natural hazards associated with the out-of-doors. Though our parks are far from wilderness, they are still host to several species of wild critters, some of which may bite or sting. Be safe and have fun out there!
