Autumn has arrived and Labor Day has come and gone. Please remember that recreational vehicles and trailers must be parked in a garage, stored behind a six foot privacy fence, or must be moved to a storage facility between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Recreational vehicles and trailers of any kind may only be parked on Fruita City streets for twelve hours, per Fruita City ordnance, and these vehicles will be tagged by Fruita Police Department for removal after the twelve hour grace period.
We have received complaints about ATVs driving on and vehicles parking on trails within the neighborhood. These trails are for service vehicles only, and they are open areas for the people of Fruita to enjoy. If you see people mis-using these trails or driving ATVs on City streets, please contact non-emergency dispatch at 970-242-6707 to alert Fruita Police Department. The Board will be working with the City of Fruita to research having signs installed to alleviate this issue.
We have also received calls about repairs that need to be made to street lights or sidewalks/roads. These complaints should be directed to the City of Fruita’s Public Works Department, as the subdivision does not own these utilities. Additionally, any barking dog or noise complaints should be directed to Fruita Police Department through the non-emergency dispatch number above.
With the irrigation season winding down, we should have a date for the water being turned off in several weeks. When we do, we will post that here. We will be working through the winter to try to come up with a solution to our lack of water, and we hope to have good news to announce soon. If you have any questions, you can email the Board at cottonwoodspres@gmail.com
