Good evening,
At about 2130 hours we received several calls that the pumps were down. Our volunteers quickly determined it was not a water issue or a pump issue, but there is an electrical issue. The pumps could be turned to hand-pump and they brought the pressure up to 65 psi. Unfortunately the pumps are programmed to time-out and shut off after a few minutes on the hand-pump setting, and without having a volunteer available to turn the pumps back on every few minutes throughout the night, the decision was made to shut the system down until an electrician could be called out (pumps quickly lost pressure when switched to the auto setting).
We will make every effort to get a professional electrician to come out on an emergency call on Sunday (Happy Mother’s Day, by the way!). We will update here when the pumps are back up. Thank you so much in advance for your patience while we navigate this hiccup.
Update 5/10/2020: Pumps are back on. The electrician completed a complete check of the system, but we were unable to recreate the issue we had last night. The system appears to be intact and running smoothly, and the pumps will run on the regular schedule.
If you have any additional issues please contact the HOA, and BE NICE: our volunteers work very hard to keep our system up and running for our community out of their love for our neighborhood and our neighbors (Board positions, by State law, are unpaid).
Have a great day!
