We have not been receiving much water to our irrigation holding tank for over a week, and this is due to a break in the weir at 19 1/2 and K Road that splits the water shares between the Compton Lateral and the Palmer Lateral. Shareholders from both sides tried to make a temporary fix that did not work and the repairs cannot be made until the water goes off for the season and Grand Valley Irrigation Company can assist with measurements to make sure each lateral gets their fair share of water.
Go ahead and close your Main Valve and have your sprinklers winterized. Thank you!
