We got a report of a water outage last night and water was still very low this morning. We checked the headgate and the usual water-hog problem areas to no avail. With the help of some of our lateral neighbors we are working on finding the missing water to right the problem and get our shares coming back this way. We hope to have this accomplished soon.
This is the first low water outage we have had this year, and this is thanks, in part, to the new headgate installed by Grand Valley Irrigation Company (GVIC) this spring. We have seen two to three times as much water this year than we’ve seen in the last five or six years. If you get a chance, go check it out and give it a scrub with the long handled gardening implement seen in the picture below.
