Please see the attached Proposed Budget for 2017.
We will be holding a Special Meeting on January 24, 2017 to ratify the proposed budget. This year in addition to the Annual Meeting in March the Board has decided to have this special January meeting to ratify the budget during the first quarter of the fiscal year instead of waiting until mid-March when the first quarter is nearly over. The Special Meeting will be held at the Fruita Community Center in the Cherry Room at 7:00 pm, and we will only be discussing the 2017 Proposed Budget.
On March 20, 2017 we will be holding the Annual Meeting and we will be reviewing the 2016 Profit and Loss Report, as required by the CC&Rs. A reminder postcard will be sent out and a copy of the 2016 P&L Report will be available for you to view on the website prior to that meeting.
The Board thanks you for the positive responses we've received for the 2017 Annual Assessment adjustment! We did want to mention that a neighbor kindly pointed out that there was a $16.50 adjustment to the assessment amount ten years ago in 2008, but with the additional adjustment this year there has only been a $34.50 increase to the annual assessments in a ten year period.
