Good autumn morning!
The Cotton Woods Homeowner's Association has published Rules and Regulations which state: "Recreational vehicles such as motor homes, travel trailers, camper and boats may be parked in the driveway from Memorial Day to Labor Day as long as it does not obstruct travel along public sidewalks. During all other times of the year, all recreational vehicles must be stored in a garage or behind a six foot privacy fence. Trailers shall be stored out of sight at all times." This includes all properties within the subdivision including the townhomes within the sub-association.
Labor Day was approximately two weeks ago, but we've allowed a grace period to allow neighbors an opportunity to move recreational vehicles behind privacy fences or to storage. That grace period is over and notices will be sent to remind neighbors to come into compliance with the Rules and Regulations.
Do keep in mind that the City of Fruita has a twelve hour loading and unloading grace period for parking trailers and recreational vehicles on City roads, and offending vehicles will be tagged and towed at the owner's expense after that time. Neighbors can request said vehicles parked on the street to be tagged by calling non-emergency dispatch at 970-242-6707.
We would also like to remind neighbors to contact a landscaper of their choosing to winterize their private yards, cooler weather will be upon us very soon. Townhome residents within the sub-association need not be concerned with this, as the sub-association owns all landscaping within their jurisdiction and contracts directly with a landscaper to complete the winterization process.
Thank you! Have a happy autumn.
