The Board would like to ask owners and residents of the Cotton Woods subdivision to add their voices to the conversation about the lack of water on the 440 Lateral which feeds our irrigation system.
Let Fruita City Council know how the lack of water has affected your property, your local parks, and your neighborhood. Ask them to consider proactive solutions not only for our subdivision and other existing landowners along the 440 Lateral, but for future developments and subdivisions east and south of our neighborhood which will eventually be annexed into Fruita city limits.

Thank you to those that have sent emails to City Council! We would ask for more folks to get involved, and we would ask that you request a Special Improvement District be created for our subdivision and Red Rocks subdivision to reroute water from a different headgate (and a different lateral ditch) to our holding tanks. We need proactive ideas and solutions for our irrigation water issues and we need the assistance of the City of Fruita to accomplish these goals.
Please feel free to share any responses you receive from your emails with the Board so we can track any progress. Thank you!
