the offices of President and Treasurer, which are being vacated by

year end. I have been notified that David Schwager has recently been

nominated for President. Nominations will close at the November meeting

and we also plan to hold our election if time permits.

Old and New Business: Our new meeting room will be at Orange Coast

Unitarian Universalist Church (OCUUC) located at 2845 Mesa Verde Drive

hope to get the meeting started at 7:00PM; we must finish by 10 PM.

Brad Yonaka has agreed to coordinate a ‘BUY Board’ via our

newsletter. Let him know what coins you are interested in buying at our

club auctions and we will use the newsletter to advertise your interests..

Donations: Thanks to all who continue to support our club ; the

support is greatly appreciated.

Please acknowledge the extra special support of Brad Yonaka, John

Skocilic , David Schwager and Joe Boyes who each pledged to pay

one month of the policy premium costs for our new liability insurance.

Jim Ewert also suggested we have a white elephant sale of donated

items at our November meeting to further reduce our out of pocket

costs for the insurance . Good idea Jim!

Please make a special effort to shop at OC RARE COIN and BULLION

(Harbor and 19th, Costa Mesa). This local coin shop has been extremely

generous to our club, giving us many valuable coins to support our club

auctions. Show them your appreciation by shopping at their facility at 1927

Harbor Blvd , Unit B, in Costa Mesa.

Education Program: Greg Thompson presented a very interesting talk

on “Medieval Accounting Tokens”. Greg walked us through medieval

history as far back as 1250 AD. This was really quite an undertaking

involving considerable research and was well presented. Greg has

spoken many times and has always done an excellent job.

Prizes: Dennis Rocklein won the Dos Pesos.

Future Coin Shows: For a full listing of all Southern California coin shows,

go to our website: <www.occoinclub.com> .
