Minutes of March 2015 Meeting

Guests and new members: Eric and Mason Leykauf and William Swoger

Membership: Membership fees for 2015 are now due. So far, we have 44 paid up members, including family.

Announcements: CSNA 47th Annual Southern California Educational Symposium, Saturday April 11 @ the Long Beach Airport Holiday Inn. See discussion below for speakers.

Old and New Business: The CSNA speakers for the 47th Annual Educational Symposium are Sean Moffatt talking on “The Minting Process- the Good days and the Bad Days”, John Duff, “Paronormal Paper Money and Coins”, Mark Baskin, “Antique Counterfeit Detecting Scales and Devices” and Charmy Harker “Penny Potpourri- A Collection of Penny Creations”.

Our existing meeting room will be available to us through October 2015 since the cityʼs planned remodeling has been delayed.

Dan Jimerson has resigned and we are looking for a replacement treasurer. Thanks to Dan for his many years of tireless support.

Donations: Thanks to the many members who continue to support our club with their regular donations.

Meeting Program: Jeff Stahl talked on “Types of Period 1 California Fractional Gold Coins“.

Prizes: There was no drawing for the 1/10th oz. gold coin. Kerry Johnson won the dos pesos.
