Minutes of May 14, 2013 Meeting
Membership and Guests: We currently have 78 members paid for CY 2013. A special
welcome to all our new members, and guest Tim.
Announcements: SoCal Coin and Currency show in Ontario July 18-20. Applications
for CSNA membership are available from Brad or at our monthly meetings. NASC gold
coin raffle tickets are available for a drawing on 8/25. July 9th is our bourse night.
Congratulations to Mike on winning first place for his exhibit on” Dimes of Europe” at the
Long Beach show.
Old and New Business: No progress or meetings have been held on our by-laws.
Laura continues to maintain our club website <www.occoinclub.com> and we thank her
for the continued support.
Donations: Our members continue to be very generous and it is appreciated.
Meeting Program: Mike Ontko presented a very interesting and informative talk on
“Spanish Coins of the 19th Century-1800-1904”. As usual, Mike did a nice job presenting
Spanish histoy and how it affected coins of that era.
Prizes: Richard Gardner won the Dos Pesos gold and Jim Ewert the 1/10th oz.
