Minutes of March 11, 2014 Meeting
Membership: We currently have 67 paid members, including family. The March
meeting was the deadline to pay dues for CY 2014. A separate e-mail has been sent to
all delinquent members notifying them of their suspension of all member privileges.
Announcements: Two of our members* will be presenting papers at the upcoming
CSNA 46th Annual Southern California Educational Symposium which will be held April
12, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Location is
Holiday Inn Mission Valley Stadium, 3805 Murphy Canyon Road, San Diego, CA

excellent job by continuously posting many more items on our growing website.
Harold Katzman will be providing NASC silver and gold coin raffle tickets in the near
future.Old and New Business: The latest bylaws were distributed again by e-mail on
April 3 to all club members in preparation for final discussions and voting for
acceptance at the upcoming April 8 meeting.
Our club officers have been investigating the posibility of incorporating our club to
establish our legal status as a social numismatics club operating in the state of
California.
Corey Carter, a local attorney, has volunteered to discuss various organizational
options at our April 8 meeting.
Donations: We thank all of our club members who have donated items to our club.
Meeting Program: Albertus Hoogeveen presented a very interesting talk on “The
Decimal Coinage of the Netherlands”. Albertus has been collecting these coins for over
50 years and has an unparalleled knowledge in this field of numismatics.
Prizes: Phil Claypool won the dos pesos gold and Judy Lucas the 1/10th oz. Gold.
