Minutes of June 2015 Meeting
Membership: Membership fees for 2015 are now past due. Delinquent
members will have their membership benefits temporarily suspended
at the June meting. Please see me at the meeting if you are unsure of
your dues status. So far, we have 47 paid up members, including family.
Announcements: Long Beach expo is this weekend. Use the
password weekend for free admission.
Old and New Business: Our existing meeting room will be available to us
through year end since the cityʼs planned remodeling has been delayed.
Club officers have elected to establish a checking account at Bank of the
West based on the offer extended by bank VP Theodore Nyuyen at last
months meeting. Signers on the no-fee checking account will be Jeff Stahl,
president, Mike Ontko, vice president, Chris Caldwell, treasurer and Bill
Pfeifer, secretary. All officers need to sign the signature cards. A tax ID
number has been granted recently by the IRS to support the account
application. The account will be managed by our newly appointed treasurer
Chris Caldwell.
Thanks to Mark Baskin for arranging the presentation by Ted Nguyen at our
May meeting and to Ted for the excellent presentation offering the no -fee
checking opportunity.
Donations: Thanks to the many members who continue to support our
club with their regular donations.
Meeting Program: Sean Moffat talked on minting of coins-”The Good
Days and the Bad Days.” This was undoubtedly the best presentation
describing the realities of the coining process and the myriad of things that
can go wrong in this complex manufacturing process. Good job Sean!!

Lynn has informed me that the show at the Embassy Suites in Anaheim
