Minutes of July 2011 Meeting

Membership and Guests:

We now have 63 paid up members for 2011.

Announcements:

This is the last meeting that raffle tickets will be available for gold and silver coin drawings sponsored by NASC at the Golden State Coin Show, Aug. 27-28, 2011. Five tickets for $3, and our club gets $1.50.

ANA and NASC will sponsor “Fundamentals of U.S. Coin Counterfeit Detection Seminar on September 9-10, 2011 at the Long Beach Coin Expo. Cost is $198 for ANA /NASC members and $298 for non-members.

Old Business:

Considerable progress was made to formalize a website for our club. Club officers have provided biographical inputs to Laura who has agreed to be manager of the site. Laura has built most of the site and has registered the domain name <www.occoinclub.com> Please review our latest progress.

New Business:

None.

Donations:

Several club members continue to donate many worthy items for our club auctions, and our club really appreciates this continuing generosity.

Meeting Program:

Last month was Bourse Night where everyone could buy and sell coins and other memorabilia. All our available tables were rented by club members including one table where Les sold items donated to our club.
