Minutes of November and December 2015 Meetings
Guests: Spouses and significant others at potluck.
Membership:. We ended 2015 with 67 paid members; a few early birds
have already paid their dues for 2016. Thank you!
Announcements:
Glenn Franks is our new president for 2016; congratulations Glen!
Our banquet for new officer installations is Sunday Jan. 24, 6:30PM at
Moonlight Pizza and Chicken, 9895 Warner ave. in Fountain Valley. Cost is
$20 total per person.
DVD’s are available for the CSNA 16th Annual Northern California
Educational Symposium. Talks include” Sacagawea Dollars You Didn’t
Know About,” “What is a Shinplaster,” “ Introduction to Collecting Ancient
Coins” and “Money from the Titanic”. See me at the meeting to borrow the
DVD’s.
Several free admission passes are available to the Long Beach show on
Feb 4-6.
Old and New Business:
Our rental contract with the Costa Mesa Community Center has been
renewed for another year and the room fees have been paid for Jan-March
2016. We received all our requested dates, second Tuesdays, except for
November where the presidential elections preempted our meeting room.
For November 2016 our meeting will be held on Tuesday November 1,
2016.
The maximum number of gold tickets that can be purchased at one time
has been increased to 20.
All existing board members were re-elected for another one year term.
Donations: Thanks to those who continue to support our club with their
regular donations; the support is greatly appreciated.
Education Program: Our December meeting was our holiday potluck. It
was nice to see spouses and significant others that we only see
occasionally. As usual, the food was excellent surpassed only by the
stimulating conversation.
Prizes: At the November meeting,Bliss won the Dos Pesos gold and Glenn
won the 1/10th oz. gold.
