Model a Die

  1. Create a new scene.
  2. Add a Cube object.
  3. Increase X/Y/Z Segments to 5. Attributes Manager > Object Tab > Segments X/Y/Z = 5
  4. Make the Cube editable (Press C).
  5. Go into Polygon Mode.
  6. Choose your Live Select tool (Black arrow with red circle around it)
  7. Select the polygons in the pattern of dots on each side.
    1. Bottom = 6
    2. Front = 3
    3. Top = 1
    4. Back = 4
    5. Right = 2
    6. Left = 5
  8. Rt-Click > Extrude Inner
  9. Turn off preserve groups: Attributes Manager > Tool > Preserve Groups
  10. Inset the polygons a bit.
  11. Rt-Click > Extrude
  12. Extrude the polygons in a bit towards the center.
  13. Select > Grow Selection
  14. Create a new black material.
  15. Drag the material onto the selected polygons
  16. Create a HyperNURBS Object
  17. Drag the Cube into the HyperNURBS Object in the Objects Manager.
