Anti-discrimination laws are a violation of many basic principles
We should treat others as we'd want to be treated.
Individuals should be free to live as they wish as long as it doesn't interfere with others' freedom to do the same.
Federalism is a very useful approach to maximizing individual freedom.
Each party to an agreement has responsibility to fully understand the nature and ramifications of the agreement; however, they also have a responsibility to each other to disclose important aspects. In a properly executed agreement, both sides fully understand the implications and neither side would take advantage of another.
The self-help industry focuses on how to love ourselves. Human nature leads us to try and fix others. Instead of loving ourselves and fixing others it seems more in line with correct principles to fix ourselves and love others.
Instead of focusing on our weaknesses, we should focus on using our strengths to help others. That will bring lasting happiness.
The purpose of government is to protect our freedom to make choices, not to make them for us. In other words, laws should not be created that punish us (e.g., cost us time and money) for what we might do in the future.
