Government Policy Questions for a Comparison Score

Please answer the questions and add up the values. The idea is to create a series of questions that will come up with a value representing your values regarding government. Divide the sum by the number of questions. The difference of scores from 2 different people represent how different they are regarding government. My score on these questions is 1.0. Naturally the closer you are to 1.0, the more correct you are. ;-) Suggestions for improvement of the questions, not me, are welcome. ;-) I’d also be interested in seeing your answers to each question.

1. I believe abortion should be a choice made by the one who is pregnant without the threat of legal consequences.

2. If there is a law against abortion it should not exist at the federal level.

3. I believe the private sector should be able to discriminate without legal consequences.

4. I’m against any form of minimum wage.

5. Federalism is a very useful approach for maximizing individual freedom.

6. The purpose of government is to protect our freedom to make choices, not to make them for us.

7. Government should not forcibly take money from some and give to another.

8. I’m against occupational licensing.

9. I’m against laws punishing price gouging.

10. I believe all anti-trust legislation is inappropriate and hurts society.

11. Government should not compete with the private sector.
