Count To Five
Let's get acquainted with making movies (and earn 6 points in the process!)
Okay, we all know how to count to five (I hope). Now, we're going to learn how to do it in Windows Movie Maker!
Below, I have a video of myself counting from one to five, and showing the corresponding hand signals. However, they're all out of order! I'd like you to put them back into order by re-cutting them and moving the clips around.
In addition, you must add a title card, captions, and credits to the video. The title card should say "Counting to Five." Each voiced number should also have a written caption with the number on it (so, there should be five). At the end, please include a credits card telling me that it was your video.
Finally, you've got to have music that runs through the course of the video, fading in at the beginning and out at the end. (The student music drive is here.)
Things to know:
I've also included an extra number that you must eliminate. Do this by using the "split" tool.
Make sure my hand returns to the fist position between each number so that the edits look somewhat clean.
Finally, just to make sure you're paying attention, add a visual effect to the number 3. It can be your choice of visual effect.
If you finish this assignment after the in-class time, that's fine! Please email it to me. However, you can't just send me the .wlmp file. You must mix it down at an .mp4 before you send it off to me! (If you need help, check out this short tutorial.)
Give it a try! My raw counting video for you to edit is here.
Here's a great student example.
