Choose Your Own Adventure

Make sure you've done My Favorite Story first so you know how to manage Google Slides!

A PARTNER extra credit worth up to 12 points EACH!

You will be completing an assignment in which you must create a choose-your-own-adventure story on Google Slides. This story must be at least 9 slides long, and must be non-linear (meaning that most slides link to different slides and don’t just run from 1-9). You and your partner will work together on slides 1-3, then partner 1 (represented by “P1” on the flowchart) will work on slides 4-6, and partner 2 (represented by “P2” on the flow chart) will work on slides 7-9. Google Drive is awesome at letting two people work on things simultaneously!

My example for this assignment is located here, and you can view the flowchart for what the assignment should look like at the bottom of the page. Each slide must have part of a story that is spell checked (Tools -> Spelling), a title, a piece of animation, and a picture.

Ask your partner to proof your work before you turn it in. Both partners will, of course, be working on the document at the same time, and the document will be shared between them.

Finally, you must have a flowchart (either on paper or digitally--if digitally, I suggest using bubbl.us, which has a tutorial on my video page) to show me before I check out your project.

Do not forget: The method for inserting links to other slides is as such: Right click -> Link -> Slides in this Presentation. The slide must have already been created, so it is likely that inserting links to other slides will be the final step in your process.

Additionally: Inserting graphics is easy. Just click Insert -> Image -> Search.
