Candy Commercial

Worth 15 possible points!

Please have finished I, Candy and watched the Shotcut tutorial before you tackle this assignment...unless you're feeling adventurous!

You're finished with your I, Candy assignment, but the fun doesn't have to stop there! Check out some commercials from various candy companies throughout the years: Butterfinger, Reese's, and Kit Kat, to name a few! (You can find more on YouTube.)

Your job is to create a commercial for the candy bar you invented in I, Candy by combining your skills with both the Google Docs/Draw and Shotcut. You're going to do that with whatever scenes you deem necessary. There are only a few requirements for this assignment:

You must say the name of the candy and use the slogan you created
You must display the wrapper for the candy
There must be at least one transition and one effect applied.
Music must be included

Here's what you might need:

A camera (if you really want to do this assignment and don't have a camera, I can loan you one from my collection--but you have to be absolutely super careful with it and can only use it during class time)
OR an iPhone/iPod (using the camera function)
a USB cable to attach the camera/phone to the computer

Be excited about your bar! Watch a bunch of commercials and get inspiration! Your commercial can be in many different forms: a short narrative (maybe a plotline about how the bar solves someone's problems?), a testimonial, a parody, or many others. A really great list is available here so that you can get some ideas! A rubric for this assignment is below.
