Today, we'll be getting introduced to Google Slides. The students will apply the information they learn today in a brief tutorial to a short assignment based around Google Slides. The assignment we're starting today is located here, and is worth 50 points. You will have until 2/19 to work on this!

Today is the last day to finish the Adventure Image project in class. Don't forget, you still have plenty of time to finish the project. All unfinished projects are due on the final day of the nine weeks. We'll start a little something new tomorrow!

Let's finish the tutorial! The end of this tutorial introduces students to the head-swapping mechanic that we will be using for the project. In class today we start on Paint.NET, and we'll handle it deftly with a beginner's tutorial, which can be found here. We're not watching the entire video today (we will split it between today and tomorrow), but students will be doing some practice on the program today. We are going to use this information to eventually complete the Adventure Image project.

Today, we continue work on All About Me. It's the final in-class day to work on this project, so students are encouraged to work hard in class and finish the project before the "soft" deadline (remember, projects are not totally "due" until the final week of class!).
Don't Forget: Today, we have our first piece of homework in the Google Draw Post-Test. This is a quick assignment worth 10 points that should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. It is due by the end of the 9 weeks.

Today, the students were given a short introduction to their first assignment, All About Me. They watched a portion of a short tutorial video about the basics of Google Draw in order to prepare them for the challenge. We'll finish the video and associated skills tomorrow!

Today, we watched a tutorial about basic computer functions. For many students, this was a review--but for some, this is the first time they've encountered these specific computer skills. The tutorial is located here. We will also review my webpage to assure that students understand where and how to find everything on it.
