APN Free Interest Story Manager/Reporter Duties
You are responsible for writing, producing, and editing one segment, and it can be literally anything you want! Do you have a great idea? This is your chance to show it off! A free interest segment should run roughly two minutes.
Here are some ideas:
An interview
with a teacher?
with a local business owner?
with a local celebrity?
with someone with an interesting job?
A game
Trivia?
A challenge?
A physical challenge?
A parody
Of a music video?
Of a TV show?
Of a commercial?
A "man on the street" segment in the hallways
Would you rather?
Street magic?
A poll?
Something just weird, bizarre, or strange from your imagination.
You have total freedom with this segment--provided, of course, that you first run it by Mr. Alexander to make sure it's all good. Have an idea before you come into this segment!
If you're using other JAJHS students to film the segment, you must have no more than four at any given time except if given specific direction by Mr. Alexander.
You are expected to rehearse to deliver your segment in a professional, engaging way. Smiling and using voice inflection are important! Have fun, and remember YOU are the face of JAJHS!
NOTE: Read your script aloud (many times!) to correct errors and make sure it sounds GREAT. Is it good enough for APN?
