MY BOND WOrlD 3

You may have read that Google Plus is closing, I've decided to move my collection of personal photos called My Bond World here - post dated as on the original page.

Bond by the River

Since The World Is Not Enough was released in 1999 the London Docklands has changed considerably but on my first visit I sorta recognised this Bond landmark - Glengall Bridge. In the opening chase the Sunseeker cruises through the open gates but 007 has to go underwater in his Q boat.

Having watched SPECTRE a few times, I always wondered where 007 & Tanner go to see Q on their river trip. Think white arrow marks the spot.

Stumbled across this Bond location today, may not ring a bell in the movies but remember Daniel Craig's introduction to the World Press as the new 007. He stepped off a Royal Marine speed boat/dinghy with life-jacket to meet the flashing paparazzi back in 2006. The jetty belongs to the Royal Navy near Tower Bridge.

If you wonder what is really opposite the MI6 Building ? In SPECTRE it was C's new MI5 Building, in real life it's new apartment buildings.

My Sunday (windy) walk included passing MI6 HQ, have no idea what the guy (bottom right) is doing in the Thames.
